Justice in the Dark: The Chinese Drama That Took Fans by Surprise!
The highly anticipated Chinese drama Justice in the Dark is finally here! Based on the novel Silent Reader (Mo Du) by Priest, this series follows an eccentric billionaire, Pei Su (Zhang Xincheng), and a dedicated police detective, Luo Weizhao (Fu Xinbo), as they dive into a series of mysterious murders.
Set in the Xinyuan Civilization Year 253, the drama kicks off with multiple murder cases happening in quick succession.
Luo Weizhao, determined to crack the case, is joined by Tao Ze (Liu Yihang) and Lan Qiao (Xiao Yu). Their investigation takes an unexpected turn when they uncover links to individuals with “zero-degree empathy”—people who completely lack emotional connections.

Now, while solving case after case, they also struggle with their own past traumas that continue to haunt them.
Fans of the novel have been eager to see this drama unfold, but Justice in the Dark came with a few surprises. Originally set to be titled Abyss, the drama underwent a name change before release.
Not only that, but the lead characters’ names were altered from Fei Du and Luo Wenzhou (in the novel) to Pei Su and Luo Weizhao in the series.
Despite airing without any major promotions, Justice in the Dark has already captured attention with its intense storyline and psychological depth.
