The 23-year-old pitcher announced the big news on Instagram, casually revealing that he tied the knot with a “kind person.”
Fans, of course, are dying to know more, but Sasaki kept things low-key, refusing to spill details on when and where they met.
During a post-practice press conference, he admitted he’s both excited and nervous about this new chapter, balancing marriage and his first MLB season.
“We’ll support each other,” he said, dodging questions about his wife’s age and even his proposal words—just calling it “simple.”
His teammates? Shocked. Even Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto couldn’t believe it at first. “They were surprised,” Sasaki laughed. “At first, they didn’t believe me.”
