Former “Youth With You 2” trainee Hamy He Meiyan has stunned fans and netizens alike with troubling revelations about her marriage. In a series of social media posts, Hamy accused her husband, Chinese rapper Liang Laoshi, of domestic violence.

The allegations include repeated instances of physical abuse—punching, kicking, slapping, and even choking, which she said nearly caused her to lose consciousness. She claimed that the assaults always occurred in places not covered by surveillance cameras.
Hamy further alleged that her husband often justified his violence as “self-defence” following their arguments. These statements have ignited serious concern from her followers and the wider entertainment community in China.
Liang Laoshi has since responded with a lengthy public apology on social media. He acknowledged that they had intense arguments, mostly triggered by work-related stress. He admitted to retreating to their child’s room during disputes in hopes of avoiding escalation.
He said the breaking point came after Hamy, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, tried to force her way into the room and later aired her frustrations online.
Liang expressed regret over the toxic turn their relationship had taken and highlighted their rushed marriage as a factor.
Liang explained that the couple married shortly after discovering Hamy’s pregnancy, leaving them little time to truly understand one another.
Their emotional connection, he suggested, was not deep enough to weather the challenges of marriage and parenthood.
In a surprising follow-up, Hamy also released her own apology. She acknowledged that their relationship had suffered due to poor communication and that she had not been able to manage her emotions well.
She referred to their first unresolved fight as a tipping point that led to further breakdowns.
Hamy He admitted her posts were impulsive and that she has since permanently deleted the more harmful ones.
She assured fans that she would refrain from venting her frustrations in a way that could hurt others going forward. The couple, once held up as a model family in China’s rap scene, now finds themselves at the centre of public scrutiny.
Liang and Hamy got married in November 2021 and are parents to a pair of twins. Their relationship had once been celebrated for blending music and romance in the public eye.
For many fans, this shift in narrative has been heartbreaking, particularly as it shatters the image of a seemingly happy and aspirational couple.
Despite their apologies, concerns remain about the safety and wellbeing of Hamy and her children, as well as the larger implications this case may hold in ongoing discussions about domestic abuse in Chinese entertainment.
Both parties have expressed a desire to work on their issues and prevent further harm. Whether reconciliation or separation lies ahead remains unclear, but for now, the spotlight remains firmly fixed on accountability and healing.
