The former EXO member clarified that the pads he’s introduced are not just standard consumer goods—they’re medically certified and have passed all necessary safety protocols.
In his statement, Huang responded to doubts raised by netizens who believed he might be outsourcing the production through third-party factories. He firmly denied this, saying he had acquired full ownership of a sanitary pad manufacturing plant.
“I’ve bought the entire factory myself,” Huang stated. “The old operations have been shut down, and we’ve overhauled everything with brand-new equipment to ensure quality from the ground up.”
To test the waters, Huang initially launched 50,000 trial packages of the product at a symbolic price of just one yuan. The goal was to make the product accessible and gather user feedback before a wider release.
However, the initiative took an unexpected turn when reports surfaced that some of these trial packs were being resold online for inflated prices ranging from 35 to 188 yuan.
Clearly disheartened, Huang expressed his frustration during the broadcast. “This was never meant for profit,” he said. “I just wanted to share something meaningful and hear people’s honest thoughts.”
He urged the public not to exploit the project for commercial gain, reiterating that his focus is on health, transparency, and genuine user experience—not opportunistic reselling.
By stepping directly into the manufacturing process, Huang is setting a precedent among celebrities who venture into the health and wellness space. His actions reflect a deeper commitment beyond mere endorsement or branding.
In a market where consumer trust can make or break a product, Huang Zitao seems determined to prove that he’s not cutting corners—both literally and figuratively.
As discussions around male involvement in feminine hygiene products continue to stir debate, Huang stands by his decision, saying that health-related initiatives should not be gendered.
His live interaction with fans, paired with his transparent approach, has received mixed reactions, though many have praised his hands-on dedication.
The sanitary pads, under his newly revamped label, are expected to roll out in full later this year with proper pricing and full-scale distribution.
As for the trial packs, Huang’s team has not yet commented on whether a second round of low-price samples will be released, given the unfortunate reselling issue.
Still, one thing is clear—Huang Zitao is not taking any shortcuts, and he’s asking his audience to treat the project with the respect it was meant to earn.
