Well, this is not the kind of headline fans were expecting. Japanese star Kenshin Kamimura (25) has found himself in serious trouble after being arrested for allegedly molesting a female translator in Hong Kong.
The incident reportedly happened last Saturday (March 2) at a celebration dinner in Mong Kok, following his fan meeting in Tung Chung.
The victim, who had just met Kamimura for the first time that day, went to the police the next day, accompanied by a social worker.
Authorities wasted no time, arresting Kamimura on the same day.
He was taken to the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts on March 4, where the case was adjourned to April 15 for further hearing.
If convicted, Kamimura could face up to 10 years in prison under Hong Kong law.
Adding to his troubles, his agency, Stardust Promotion, quickly cut ties with him.
In a statement, the company confirmed his contract was terminated immediately due to a “serious breach of contract.” His Instagram account has also been deleted.
Hong Kong police have made it clear—they have zero tolerance for such crimes.
Kenshin Kamimura, once a rising star in the Japanese group ONE N’ ONLY, now faces an uncertain future.
